Kaustubh Anand Chandola

Kaustubh Anand Chandola, born on February 7, 1957, in Bintoli village, Bageshwar, Uttarakhand, is a retired government official now engaged in literature, independent writing, journalism, and social service. He is married to Mrs. Sudha Chandola and has two sons, Rohit and Rahul. A postgraduate in Commerce, he has contributed significantly to the promotion of Kumaoni and Hindi literature. In 2021, he was nominated as a member of the Uttarakhand Language Institute, Dehradun, and was reappointed for another three-year term in 2022.

His published works include Sannyasi Yoddha (based on the life of Golu Devta), The Monk Warrior (English translation), Chandravanshi (a historical novel), Sampuṭi (a poetry collection), Preta-Maa (on female oppression), Safed Jhooth (on adolescence), and short story collections like Garm Raakh and Bina Poonchh Ka Bail. He has also published essays in Himalaya Ki Chitthiyan. His writings have been recognized and awarded in both Hindi and Kumaoni.
