Hemant Kunwar Gopal, born on 10 February 1978 in Maharajganj (Uttar Pradesh), is a writer, poet, and actor. He completed his post-graduation in Mathematics from D.D.U. University, Gorakhpur, and simultaneously trained as an artist at Rangashram Natya Sanstha, Gorakhpur, performing in several plays.
With over 25 years of experience in theatre and acting, he has worked in Mumbai as a Production Manager, Associate, and Line Producer, and later as a Casting Director in many films including A New Love Story, Tees Maar Khan, Tapal (Marathi), Calapor, Timir, Shamitabh along with music videos, ad films, and drama productions.
After the demise of his father in 2019, he returned permanently to his hometown Maharajganj. Since then, he has been deeply engaged in writing poetry, satire, and plays, reflecting life, silence, and human emotions. His works include themes of rural life, self-discovery, and social critique.
