Arvind Gupt

Arvind Gupt, born on January 22, 1954, retired after serving in a managerial role at a nationalized bank for 34 years, and is now devoted to literary pursuits. He began writing poetry in 1964, stories in 1967, and started publishing in literary magazines from 1970. His first collection of short stories, "Dehri Ke Paar", was published in 1990 by Yatri Prakashan, Delhi.

In 2019, his second story collection titled "Mona Lisa Ka Sapna" (The Dream of Mona Lisa) was published. Between 1990 and 1995, he also edited and published four issues of "Aayam", an occasional literary magazine from Dehri-on-Sone. The writer is deeply committed to expressing the sorrows and struggles of the oppressed and exploited sections of humanity.
